McHenry County Day Trips
Spend time on North Dakota's prairie learning about the history, agriculture past and present and hear from the people that live and work on the Great Plains.
Tour destinations will include artists, historical sites, cattle, small grain and buffalo ranches and guided experiences in agriculture past, present to future… all with our spectacular rural hospitability. Tours share the value of North Dakota's agriculture, conservation and energy. Day or half-day trips can be accommodated. Homemade cooking from local cafés, gourmet lunches at a restored school house or catered food on the prairie are all meal options.
Tours include:
Visits with working farmers and ranchers on their unique operations, walking tours of distinctive Norwegian and North Dakota historical sites, flax and flour production tours, North American Buffalo tours, presentations by agriculture researchers on the future of production, rural artists including saddle makers and tours of antique and unique farm machinery.
Each destination is unique and we will work with the tour operators to make sure visitors are accommodated in terms of time and ability. Because of the uniqueness of these tours, we ask for initial contact at least 30 days prior to your tour date.
